An incredibly high quality monitor from Panasonic.  The WV-CM1480!  I made a YouTube video on this monitor, raving about how gorgeous it is, when I swapped a PC Monitors tube into it.  Now, the part number of the tube in this monitor is in fact the same part number tube that comes out of a pc monitor, and that is just incredible.  Pc monitor tubes have to be incredibly high line count tubes, because they are made to support all sorts of resolutions, and expected to resolve high detail.  When you use a super high line count tube like that in a 240p monitor like this, you get the most sharp images you could ever imagine.  This tube is rated 800tvl, and it looks every bit of it. maybe even more!  To put that in perspective, Sony's highest line count 14" tube is 800 tvl, the 14M4U, and this looks every bit as sharp as the Sony.

I do also want to comment on the size of the tube, a lot of times when a monitor has 14 in the name, it's a 13" viewable tube, but this is 14" viewable. For example, the Sony 14M4U is 13" viewable, so this monitor is 1" larger.  The JVC TM-H150CG is another very popular set, and this Panasonic shares the exact same tube as it.  Both being 14" viewable.

I've worked in a lot of monitors, and the inside of these Panasonic WV-CM series sets are built incredibly well.  Huge heat sinks, very thick boards, just overall built better than most.  You might be able to tell by now, but I love these Panasonic sets!

So, this set comes with composite and S video, and the S video already looks fantastic, but you know where you are, we had to RGB Mod it! This set has been RGB Modded.  Check out those sleek bnc connectors on the back.  And the button is for turning on the RGB, if you're using any other input you have to make sure the button isn't pressed.  And, all of the other inputs do work.

So what's another feature of a top of the line monitor?  An on screen service menu that allows you to make geometry adjustments on the fly.  Hold the + and - and menu button down when you power it on to enter the service menu.  Once powered on the screen is white, so you need to press menu or input to be able to see anything, but then you can make all of your geometry adjustments.  Including horizontal size adjustment, which is the one adjustment that is missing a lot of the time

Overall I still absolutely love this set, and with RGB it looks so stunning, I don't think there's many sets out there that would be comparable at this point.
